Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is an Mexican American performer, singer and actress. Raised by her mother in the USA she had to face many racial slurs which gave her feeling of being unwelcome. It was during her ninth grade when she began to gain confidence after being highly praised in an audition. It not only boosted her confidence but also changed the direction she pursued in her career. In the year 22 she graduated in the Julliard School of New York. At the age of 23 she began her journey on Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman. Then, at 23 years old she made her film debut in You've got mail. But her biggest break came when she played the role of The Lady of The Lake in the very first Broadway production of Spamalot winning not just an award called the Tony Award for her performance as well as a lot of critical praise. Later that year, as Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy for ABC her role was given greater recognition. She is known as a performer and also released a single and an extended play. In addition, she's an activist and works extensively to promote LGBT rights.
