Felicity Jones was born and raised in the UK and is primarily known for the actress who was Jane Hawking on the critically-acclaimed film The Theory of Everything. Jones has been in plays, films as well as television since she was 12 years old. Her professional career began in the television production The Treasure Seekers. Later, in The Worst Witch (a television series) she played Ethel Hallow. The sequel Weirdsisters college was also filmed. In her first film Flashbacks of a Fool she played Young Ruth and went on to appear in a variety of films. Her popularity grew due to her performance in films including The Invisible Woman and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. However it was her role as the wife of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything' which earned the actress the Oscar nomination for the very first time. Jones was Stephen Hawking's second wife the biopic, earned a lot of praise both from critics and viewers due to the manner in which she portrayed her. Jones was later seen in Inferno a thriller starring Tom Hanks. Jones was named British Artist of Year 2016 by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles in recognition of her extraordinary talent and work to the cinema.
